Reorganization of Army Cuts Jobs at Pueblo Depot
The Pueblo Army Depot will shed 435 civilian jobs by June 1974 as part of a broad Army reorganization. At Ent Air Force Base 42 civilian positions will be cut, with nationwide cuts totaling about 15 000 military and civilian posts over five years. The Pueblo depot will then employ 2 278 people, saving about 3.7 million annually.

Arson blamed for two fires in Boulder area
Fire Chief said arson caused fires at Hogsett Lumber Yard and Foster Lumber Co and is suspected in a kennel fire at an animal clinic. A passerby extinguished the Foster blaze with snow, and a separate fire at Marys Wrecker Service caused injuries from lean fluid ignition.

Safeguard realigned under plan
ARADCOM announced a three year realignment of Safeguard ballistic missile defense and air defense command operations. The plan realigns Safeguard elements to meet ABM Treaty limits and coincides with a general Army reorganization.
