Navy To Double Carrier Force

The Navy announced a plan to nearly double its carrier fleet, expanding to about 28 or 30 carriers with 45,000-ton vessels and about 17 smaller carriers. It would also increase destroyers to about 215, plus more cruisers and two additional battleships, with Wisconsin slated for active duty in a few months.

Niles Nebraska January reports a Dalton area well near town producing at high rate. Icy Roads Trigger Multiple Crashes Across County

Police and state patrol report icy pavement Friday night caused numerous crashes with no injuries. A 1933 Chevrolet driven by Charles Frabeis Wall rolled over on Highway 289 near Colorado 85. Ex paratrooper shot in hotel bath room shows wound

Hupon Reutteant, a 46 year old ex paratrooper and resident of the Athlon hotel, was rushed to Ward County public hospital after a revolver wound sustained in a hotel bath room. The weapon was an automatic revolver used by Kaufman, who fired at the heart area. The victim’s condition was serious while Kaufman’s wife Tietkan Houhihi, also a veteran, entered the hospital with arcing anxiety.
