The city of Greeley awards the lighting contract to the lowest or best bidder, ending ARC Lighting's bid and leaving no further Arc lights for the city in 1011.
The council approved limited street lights for 1911 due to budget limits while planning twenty additional fire plugs in the downtown area and moving others to distant districts. Annual reports were received, poll tax collector Milton Seaman was praised, and actions included a building exhibit permit request and the final $900 payment on the east side sewer.
The 8S. L. W. ranch church postponed last Sunday's home coming due to cold weather. It will be held next Sunday in January with Bible school at 10, preaching at 11, lunch at 12, and a 2 o'clock reports and plans session. A $100 gift freed the church from building debt. Pastor J. B. Lynn, on leave from Pueblo's Central church, will lead.

Burlesque Christmas gifts provided amusement as about 100 members attended and enjoyed the gathering.
Al Galliton and James Holmes, residents east of LaSalle, were arrested in the mountains on a theft charge after buying Navajo blankets worth hundreds of dollars. They were held for days as investigators checked their story and later released. A man who actually stole the blankets was captured afterwards.
The first postal savings bank in Colorado opened at Leadville with Kathleen Bennett as the first depositor. Fifty accounts started and deposits reached 149.80 dollars for the day, while the post office holds 65,000 in money orders now ready for deposit into the new postal bank.
