Pedestrians narrowly escaped as a revolver carried by Seeley of the First National Bank of Ault discharged. The bullet struck the street, then lodged in woodwork of the Racket Store window opposite the bank. no injuries reported.
About a dozen farmers club representatives met at the Commercial club rooms to consider forming a mutual fire insurance company for growers. They discussed a $10,000 appropriation for potato growing experiments, appointing committees to draft bylaws and seek members, and to lobby for funding through the legislature.
Death of "Grandma" VanAken reported from Loveland. She died Sunday at her son's home and may be buried in Evans. A familiar Evans figure, she was blind and infirm but had many friends. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Jack, in Evans.
The Eaton project for a new high school was awarded Saturday afternoon to J. A. Warren of Boulder for 26,650 dollars. Bonds were taken up by the Woodmen of the World. Although the contract is not yet signed, officials plan to have the building ready for occupancy by September 1.
Mr and Mrs L L Wyatt entertained twelve guests at a very elaborate dinner party Friday evening. The meal was served by their two daughters Mayme and Hilda Wyatt and a very pleasant evening was enjoyed by all.
