4 H Club Meeting Plans and Banquet Reports
The Ashton Home Economics 4 H Club held its last regular meeting at Mrs Art Briggs home where junior leaders selected names for the 1972 demonstration teams and discussed secret pals. The group planned a Hidden Valley trip and reviewed clothing unit requirements. In Island Grove Park the Severance 4 H Club held an achievement banquet with speeches on 4 H impact and the Washington D C citizen trip. Awards were presented by local leaders and guests included families and community members. The Greeley Junior Homemakers met at Pam and Stephanie Kopitz home to discuss project plans and demonstrations with Gwen Huilt and Miss Sweetzig presenting procedures. Refreshments were provided by the hostesses. Paul McCartney released Give Ireland Back to the Irish in Ireland as a response to Northern Ireland tensions, banned in Britain and to be aired in Ireland amid restrictions on some rebellions.
