A Wheat Ridge mother, Belly Louise Herring, 26, honored as Colorado Heart Mother for 18 years of heart disease battles. She has had four open heart surgeries and three artificial valves, including a mitral valve replacement in 1970. The divorced mother of five hopes to finish school and work as a receptionist or secretary, while caring for her sons Randy and Donald in foster care. The CHA will honor her at the May Annual Assembly as the 10th Heart Mother of the Year.
