L. C. Hammond contractor in charge at a new store project on Fourth Avenue was hurled into a burned elevator shaft yesterday afternoon. He died early this morning from injuries. Hammond, of 302 Thirteenth Street, is survived by his wife and two children, a son 16, and daughter Myrtle Smith. Coroner to decide on possible inquest.

Tragic Fall Claims Life of Hammond on Factory Shaft
Hammond plunged about twenty five feet from a second floor to the basement after a shaft accident. He struck his head and died after doctors were summoned. three coworkers witnessed the fall. The Hammond family has lived at the address for three years. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.

Boy Tries To Catch Wagon Fractures Arm

English-Conlin Settlement Heads to County Court Appeal

Union Pacific Seeks Delay in Greeley Rail Suit
