Justice of the peace Denniss was found guilty of keeping a disorderly house after a Weld County trial lasting until last night. He faces a motion for a new trial. Prominent Katon citizens testified to the house’s reputation and liquor sales and gambling on various occasions. Police arrested two men in the house two nights ago. Denniss’s associates await trial on gambling charges. Witnesses included Mayor T G Phillips and City Attorney L B Reed among others.

He and his family had lived in California for ten years. funeral services are planned at his Los Angeles home. He is survived by widow Ella Currier, two sons Edward and Farnsworth, daughters Mary, Elizabeth, and Mrs. Charles E. Anthony, and his brother Henry Currier.
