The report notes in New Jersey a mother of three must earn $1,000 monthly to net $200 in aid, prompting temptations to omit lawful earnings or pursue illicit work.

Seven men from Greeley Senior Citizens' Club competed in a Fort Collins pool tournament on February 18. Frank Quazada won first place and Russell Anderson took second, both from Greeley. He also pressed for a separate peace accord between Hanoi and Washington, arguing a prior agreement may have been derailed by subsequent demands and urging the United States not to bomb North Vietnam to aid South Vietnam.

Six teenagers riding behind Judy Lee Christiansen on Mulholland Drive kept her drifting car from slipping 150 feet down a brush slope and helped pull her to safety. Christiansen, 25, of Los Angeles, was listed in satisfactory condition after suffering cuts and bruises. Fire Captain James Perry credited the youths with saving her life. The report notes most white tigers in captivity are in India, with the US and England hosting a few in a 2008 count.
The Colorado Public Dnties Commission schedules a public hearing at 10 a.m. January 24 in Eaton on Greeley Gas Co. seeking a certificate to continue natural gas service. The Eaton franchise and tax terms are outlined. Greely Gas must obtain a new certificate of public convenience and necessity. London reports John Utter, the late Duke of Windsor’s private secretary, honored by Queen Elizabeth II with an honorary Commander of the Royal Victorian Order for personal royal service.
In Brighton Colorado two suspects Mobby Joe Webb aged 82 and a unidentified juvenile were arrested after a fatal shooting in Adams County at a restaurant parking lot. Cindy Sue Mum ford died several hours after the head wound as two women fought with her boyfriend. Police spotted a car linked to the suspects nearby.
