Schroeder Convicted in Man With Deadly Weapon Case
George A. Schroeder, 44, a Weld County rancher, was convicted in district court of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to do bodily harm. He received six months in county jail and a $500 fine after being previously free on bond. The incident, Sept. 27 at the Schroeder ranch, involved a shooting at John I. Filer during a dispute over adjoined earth that entered Schroeder’s cornfield.

Medical Society Contract Terms Endangered for County Indigents
The Weld County Medical society contracts with the county commissioners for indigent care expire January A new contract is being drafted. The society currently receives 1000 dollars monthly for out of hospital cases and 250 dollars monthly for hospital patients. Preliminary talks explore a group hospital and medical contract for WPA workers with a three percent charge of 44 dollars per month per family. A proposal would raise hospital ship costs by about two dollars monthly per family under a WPA plan.

Fort Lupton Woman Found Dead in Home
Fort Lupton Dec. 22 Mrs Ida Halle Bells 65 was found dead in her home at 523 Third street by her son Harvey Sella Wednesday evening. She had been dead 12 to 18 hours when found. Dr J J Levine acting coroner reported. Mrs Sella born near Elkhart Ind Feb 24 1873 moved to Colorado as a child and married Charley H Sells who died in 1930. Survivors include a daughter and son Harvey W Selle two brothers Burton W Marsh and CC Marsh and Mrs Tom Porter of Delta O and several grandchildren. Funeral arrangements pending.
