A flurry of Christmas season travel and visits is noted. Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Froster went to Denver on a business trip, while Colorado university students and staff planned holidays in Greeley Denver Monte Vista and Los Angeles. Local residents and faculty members also gathered for seasonal activities and family time.
In La Salle on December 17 the Black Bear Patrol won the inter patrol contest with an ice rescue demonstration using rap rescues and artificial respiration. Participants included Ray Spellman Alfred Miller Kenneth McWilliams A C Glynn Harold Anderson and Kenneth Jessee. The Wolf patrol took second by showing the Bank method of ice rescue. current scores: Black Bear 221 Beaver 160 Wolf 12.

It warns of tax rivals and stresses focus on three Ms music art domestic science and athletics. It questions savings claims and suggests reducing office staff and avoiding business conflicts. It ends noting a local butcher’s gathering on December 28 at 7 30 pm.

The writer attacks high salaries, proposes self-effort and occasional help, and cites tax savings and educational costs as justification.
