Henry Womack, 68, died at Delta Memorial Hospital after more than a month in recovery from injuries when struck by a car while walking along a Delta street November 10. State Patrol identified the driver as Clifford M. Braswell, 24, of Delta Route 2. Womack’s death marked the 17th traffic fatality in the year, compared with 35 at the same time in 1936.
