Agnew to Face Maryland Bar Disciplinary Action
Spiro Agnew is due in Annapolis court December 1 for a disciplinary review by the Maryland State Bar Association. Lawyer Leon H. A. Pierson said the appearance before a three judge Anne Arundel County panel should take no more than one day. The bar seeks judgment based on Agnew's October 10 plea to a federal tax evasion charge as evidence of misconduct.

Ship officials indicted for bribery in Norfolk case
A federal grand jury indicted seven top Norfolk Ship Building and Dry Dock Corp officials for bribery and conspiracy to obtain favorable safety inspections and Navy contracts. The former president, John L. Roper, is charged with evading taxes on scrap metal proceeds. Also cited are gifts to inspectors and other perks. Separate charges discuss a New York Harbor collision that killed 131 on December 16, 1960.
