The Union Colony Pioneer society banquet at the Camfield hotel drew an overflow crowd with 15 covered tables and a mood of warm fellowship. Elders and descendants recalled pioneer days as Miss Frieda Taylor and Adele Ramecy played piano solos and Manager Hall offered Victrόlia music between reminiscences. Speakers included Alonzo Pollock, the youngest arrival to Greeley, and Lt. Gov. J. L. Brush who joined in playful banter with attendees. Officers announced: H. T. West president, Mrs. Calvin Thomas secretary, A. A. Woodbury treasurer, with several vice presidents and officers listed.

Traveling Man Fends Off suspected holdup at Depot cafe
