Vincent Hofer died at the Home of his daughter Mrs. John Gust in Mead on Thursday evening after a short illness. A German born retired farmer, he lived in Mead for about two years, formerly from Walnut Kansas. He was a Catholic. Surviving relatives include two sons Joe of Walnut and Will of Long Head California, four daughters Mrs. Ginra Staphans Mrs. Therean Robinsen Mrs. Theresa Waltera and Mrs. Annie Liell plus many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Ronary will recitation is set for Friday at Shaw Memorial chapel at 7:30 p.m. then the remains will be taken to St Paul Kansas for services and burial with Mrs. Gust and her sister accompanying.
