Greeley High Students Attend NFL Congress in Cheyenne
Fifteen Greeley High students and teacher Dorothy Warren attended the National Forensic League student congress at the Wyoming Capitol in Cheyenne. Senators Weber and Band and representative Strubel represented Greeley with alternates Venable and Garrison. Four bills and four resolutions were presented, following US legislative procedure. In Garden Grove California a 3004 pound lioness escaped its wire cage during a promotion near an auto agency and attacked 11 year old Evan Trenholm who was helping his father operate searchlights for a display. Evan was treated at County Hospital for a severe knee injury hip lacerations and other wounds. The boy’s father Elwood Trenholm and a bystander assisted as deputies reported the incident and owner George Trasier captured the animal with a lasso.
