Ranch hand George S. Carsten, 20, living near Grover, was arrested Wednesday night by Sheriff Gus G. Anderson and Deputy Guy AteGimicss and is held at Weld County jail for investigation of a $500 burglary of Gay Smith Hardware Store by Graver Sunday night. Deputy McGinness said evidence against Carsten is minimal and the prisoner shows no knowledge of the burglary. axe tracks led to the arrest.
A man identified as a shop manufacturer was found dead from a gun wound in a bathroom. Acting Coroner Revert Thomas said the body was discovered by the family chauffeur George Gracey after a note from Jones instructed to take care of the dog and not open the door. Evans town council weighs Andy Campbell plan to extend Seventh Street west to his 80 acre farm and extend Eleventh Avenue south to connect with Seventh Street. Walter Engelberg a 42 year old German consulate secretary was found murdered in his Brooklyn apartment. Police described the scene as bloody with the head decapitated and the body discovered in a secant floor bedroom after the crime occurred within about 24 hours. Neighbors reported a tense arrest and the assailant weapon was not immediately identified.
