The court dismissed the accessory after the fact charge against Wier after the district attorney sought dismissal citing insufficient evidence. A district jury found Acnall Roberts guilty of being guilty after the fact in the July 2, 1930 murder near Keotn. The panel, which deliberated about two hours after a three and a half hour out, returned with the verdict at 4 27 pm. Foreman John McPharson signed the verdict. Roberts was granted a ten day stay while motions for a new trial may be filed. Roberts posted $2 000 bond and his attorney signaled intent to appeal.
