Henry AuGlatt said President Roosevelt would counter Hitler in the Western Hemisphere. Wallace warned against dictators and propaganda as he accepted the residential nomination before a crowd estimated at 7000. He urged the public to confront fascism and defend freedom with U.S. policy.
Nellie Lomas sought to enjoin use of a stream on the Webster farm. Judge Frederis W. Clark ruled Mrs Lomas had no right to continue using the water, though the farm had used it for 40 years. Attorney Fark Collins represented Lomas.
