Mother Rescues Children From Burning Home Fire
Mrs. Leadbetter left a kitchen stove burning then found the rear of the house engulfed in flames. She entered the burning home and saved two children aged 18 and 3 months, narrowly avoiding tragedy. Four Year Old Dies After Wagon Accident in Platteville
In Platteville on August 26 Katherine Rose Hamburger four died when a hay wagon ran over her. Her brothers Carl and Edgar testified the child attempted to catch a ride on the tail. Teamster Art Schmalling and his brother did not realize the accident until distance passed. The Hamburger family, well known in Weld County, mourns another loss after earlier tragedy.
