The Tribune Teddy Bears face the Republican Bustlers in a charity baseball game on the Greeley diamond. Merchants plan half days to attend, and proceeds go to the Greeley concert band. Strong local teams and good weather are hoped for. rain or riot could delay.
The event at the park includes Miss Hazel Anderson, Denver’s Dionde, arriving at 2:30 to the grounds. She will stay in the refreshment stand and advise women on husband hunting using rules prepared by C L Dowell and County Clerk Lather. Late today the Royellers accused the Teddy Bears of unfair advantage.
At a North Side Country Club meeting at Mrs Minnie Wilson home guests honored Mrs Marion Clark on her 75th birthday. The ladies presented her china dishes and a token of appreciation while Miss Nichols added burnt wood. A cake with seventy five burning candies celebrated the occasion.
Mike Reiley, an elderly farmer and longtime Weld county resident, is dying at his ranch near Severance after an abscess forced him to Denver and he was brought home. He owns eighty acres northeast of Severance and leaves a wife and children.

Truman G Palmer of the Washington agricultural department collects data arguing that beet culture benefits soil when rotated with other crops. The union Sunday school picnic at W. O. Thompson's grave today will include a wide range of events such as 100 yard dashes for boys and girls, various age group sprints, races, field events like shot put and discus, and a pole vault. Strong athletes eye honors as competition heats up.
A cosmopolitan turnout filled Weld county court room for the third tri annual state board teachers examination under County Superintendent J L Harrison. Fifty two examinees included twenty five states with many en route from the N E A convention in Denver. Examinations were held statewide as question blanks were distributed by the state association of public instruction.

Mrs. E. H. Downey leads the cradle roll at the Methodist Sunday school where babies greet visitors with a welcome phrase. The program has grown from 16 to 136 under eight, with certificates, diplomas at age three, and birthdays celebrated. The cradle roll lists all names in the church and marks promotions with stars, including five gold star babies this year.
A replevin suit in Justice Pressly's court centers on a barter swap where a skating team is traded for fine horses. A third party claims mortgage rights on the horses and gains possession, while both original traders show no desire for the exchanged team. Whitmore, aged 16, is named as purchaser and trader in the dispute.
M M Whitmore aged 16 of Severance purchased a $300 horse team from Dode Weikert. Weikert, known from the Denver Post en durance race, alleges Whitmore traded horses with B F Harris for a lesser team. A replevin suit followed. the horses were turned over to Weikert pending bond. Harris says Whitmore appeared mature enough to judge horseflesh at the trade.
Chester Blunt a farmer near Greeley presents grain and grass samples at the Commercial club exhibition. His daughters assist by classifying and preparing the grains. If successful at the Interstate fair, the display may go to the National Corn Exposition in Omaha.
Windsor witnesses the laying of the city hall cornerstone despite steady rain. Mayor C A Yancey and R E B Hanna spoke, with the ceremony delayed from 2 to 430. The unmarked box held merchants’ heads, coins and items. The hall costs 8000 dollars. brick laying began this morning on Fifth street near the depot.
