Kenneth LeRoy Wood a 44 year old Sterling insurance salesman was arraigned in district court on charges of assault to commit murder and assault with a deadly weapon. Deputy District Attorney Karl Abibram requested bond at 5000 dollars. Wood admitted to breaking into a home and firing three shots after being struck. The incident occurred last Thursday morning at the McBride home where McBride, Wood’s father in law, was injured and is hospitalized. Wood’s wife and two children were upstairs during the shooting.
