Ben Florance Dies. Veteran Weld County Official
Ben Florance 72 longtime Weld County peace officer and public official died Thursday at Grey Ley Hospital after a lung illness. He served as sheriff three times, led Windsor fire and police, and mentored many in law enforcement. Survived by wife Louise, three children, two sisters, six grandchildren, and two stepchildren. Memorial at Sattley’s Funeral Home.
