Marvin P. McGrew 34 of 1910 Fifteenth avenue died Tuesday night at Weld County General hospital after a long illness. He was field manager for the Federal Crop Insurance program and had served as county agent for federal crop insurance. A WWII and Korean War veteran, he held state price executive posts for Wyoming and worked in sales for Pacific Fruit and Produce and Nay Reed Service. Surviving are his wife Blanche, daughter D Prantes Reed, grandson Kevin Reed, mother Cullan McGrew, three brothers and a sister. Funeral 3:30 Thursday at Macy's drawing room with Masonic and Linn Grove Occidental lodge rites. Memorials to cancer fund.

Man fined for cat tailing and honesty in Louisville
In Louisville Municipal Court Judge B Muir fined Henry Sell 25 dollars for mutilating a cat with a butcher knife to identify it from others. He also received a 20 dollar fine for frankness related to the case. The defendant, 52, claimed he did it to tell the cat from the others.

E Porty Hickman 8 president of First National Bank of Windsor died Tuesday after a three and a half month illness. A northern Colorado resident for 49 years he was born May 27 1872 in Seward Nebraska and married Lillie Sheeley there in 1899. He and his brother bought into the bank and he served as president since 1916. He was active in ranching education and various Windsor organizations. Surviving are his wife three sons two daughters nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral Thursday at 2:30 p m in Windsor Methodist Church with Lakeside cemetery interment. Memorial fund instead of flowers.

Man Escapes Serious Injury In Car Rollover Crash
A Denver man narrowly escaped serious injury when his car rolled over twice in a borrow pit along Colorado 2 three miles west of Fort Lupton around 11 25 p m Tuesday. Robert Willie Peterson 38 was driving a 1910 Chevrolet east when he apparently fell asleep veered into the pit and rolled over. Peterson treated by a private doctor.
