Washington sources say Montana South Dakota and Georgia near losing about 7 to 8 million dollars each in federal highway funds for not enacting antibillboard laws. Twenty six other states lacking adequate laws could face later penalties as draft letters warn governors.

Professor Allen Whiting a leading American authority on Chinese affairs will speak on Communist China in the 1970s Monday at 8 p.m. in the University of Northern Colorado Ballroom. Whiting, a political science professor at Michigan, has held State Department posts and advised Senate committees. The lecture is the third in a series sponsored by UNG colleges. no admission fee.

Greeley Pet Parade and Hobby Fair Schedule This Weekend
The Greeley Recreation Division hosts a Saturday pet parade at 10 50 am in Lincoln Park with ribbons and drinks for entrants. The Hobby Fair runs Saturday 9 am to noon for exhibits and 1 pm to 8 30 pm for viewing, plus Sunday 1 pm to 6 pm with demos by local groups. Also planned are men’s slow pitch and women’s softball organizational meetings in early May and Young America Baseball sign up in May with registration in early June.
