Council Advisory Group Now Rejected

A special city council meeting rejected forming a citizens advisory committee. Instead the group will discuss future possibilities of an inter club governmental affairs committee for royal organizations, independent of the council or other bodies. The motion by Councilman Robert Derrington, adopted in February, prompted the session.

Massachusetts Republicans Name Lodge as Favorite Son Pick

In Boston Massachusetts Republicans gave Hewey Cabot Lodge strong support for the GOP nomination in Tuesday's primary. Lodge decisively defeated Barry Goldwater in the write in vote while President Johnson led the Democratic side. Delegates at large were elected amid slow results for district delegates as counting continued late. In New Bedford ballots were heavy and counting resumed later after complaints about unwieldy ballots. Burglars Hit Greeley High Safe and Vault
