While at work in a Windsor butcher shop Clyde Hunter sustained a deep hand cut severing major veins. He was rushed to hospital where doctors dressed the wound and warned he will be unable to use the hand for some time.

Two Raton Women Rushed to Hospitals
Raton, April 29. Two well known residents were rushed to Denver for surgery at Park Avenue hospital. Mrs. C. J. Blandin, long ill, will be operated on for stomach cancer with husband Dr. Peck and William Nettleton present. Mrs. Pred Larkin, wife of a local businessman, had appendicitis and is scheduled for operation tomorrow.
Weaver Appointed Surgeon for Denver Laramie Road
Dr. J A Weaver today obtained papers of appointment as surgeon for the Denver Laramie and Northwestern road. The position was determined earlier but papers were delayed. He will serve the territory around Greeley.
