Grand Junction April 27 4 Workera holed through irrigation tunnel early today and rushed to complete water delivery for Grand Vale crops. The tunnel breach affected Grand Valley canal No 8 near the Colorado river canyon, with repairs aimed for early next week.

Danvers April 28 reports Blue Cross will introduce a new health plan in June. The plan expands hospital coverage and keeps present benefits while adding full benefits for hospital stays and routine care. Grant said recent rises in hospital costs spurred the change and that the new plan aims to lower overall expenses for members.
