In Denver April 24 Governor Meiyh and House leaders pressed for a quick decision on Getty fate. A 63 to 0 House vote urged rapid action while Senate debate and a tax proposal faced resistance amid broader budget and session timing concerns.
Senator Barber from Kentucky says President Roosevelt proposes merging about a dozen federal relief agencies into a single unified system. The plan would centralize control of relief activities, with some executive oversight, but no agency specified. The idea follows a White House briefing after a Monday conference with Roosevelt and lawmakers.
School men will gather at Colorida Site College of Milucition July 13 to 15 for The Improvement of Teachers and Teaching. Jill W. Bigelow of the National Council on Teacher Education will lead the conference. Sessions cover preservice education of teachers, the selection of teachers, and the growth of teachers in service.
In Greeley northern Colorado seventy five Sunday school teachers from American Lutheran churches met at Our Savior Lutheran for an organizational session. McCoy of Greeley was elected president with Muchow of Osview presiding, Locker Collins secretary, and Ruts Whidsar treasurer. The group voted to meet twice monthly in spring and fall. papers were presented by Fritschel of Greeley and Eisner of Windsor discussing teaching and missionary aspects.
Mrs Betty Knight sustained a dislocated shoulder and bruises when struck by the left rear fender of a car driven by Cintk F. Piakon 30 of 1639 Sixth avenue Greeley. She crossed a road and walked into the path of the Mason southbound car, injuries reported by a courtesy patrol.
Fort Collins dispatch reports A Tilton 46 and Norman Cash two injured when a 1500 pound truck bed toppled onto them in Larimer County. Tilton was critically injured with chest crushed, Cash sustained non serious injuries. Both taken to Larimer County Hospital for treatment.
London April 24 Prime Minister Chamberlain told the house that there is no special significance in Sir Neville Henderson's return to Berlin. He said Henderson was recalled to report on German moves and was sent back after leave, and that Britain does not recognize the annexation of Bohemia and Moravia or Albania’s conquest.

Dr Raymanil Th Atterberry testifies that his marriage was harmonious apart from minor quarrels. He recalls finding his wife’s study, her call from the Kallenbach residence, and discovering her body at the bottom of the basement stairs after returning home.
