Wald county high school students are invited to submit essays in a contest sponsored by the Federal Advertising Administration. Schools will receive guidelines and entry forms, with prizes for winners. Contest closes May 3, with winners announced later.
A college event featured a Liquid Ain Exhibit and a guest list including Meydames and visitors from several high schools in Colorado. Prom outfits and decorations were discussed as students prepared for a forthcoming prom night. The event also highlighted student elections results and overnight hosting arrangements for guests.
Gladys Johnson presented Plano pupils at a Saturday afternoon recital at the Johnson ground, featuring songs and dances in a program with many named performers and guests. A birthday dance for Gayther Hatfield was held at Mya G1’s home, with a social to follow and committee reports planned for the Big Bend event.
Alpha Sigma Alpha alumnae were graciously hosted at a breakfast gathering by Mrs Marlon Hebrons with Mrs Jtoil Ninemeirs and Miss Winnifrod Johnson taking roles. Guests, including Mrs Ryce Now of Valley View, enjoyed a decorated table, prize games, and light refreshments. A separate shower for Mrs Elmer Stapleton Osgood featured elegant hostess gifts and a small poetry reading during tea.
