A New Mexico woman and her daughter died in a southern Colorado crash on Colorado 159 south of Fort Garland. The driver, Mrs. Johnnie RK. Mertain of Questa, 30, and her daughter Michelle, 5, were passengers when their car hit a stalled tractor-trailer in poor visibility. The incident raises Colorado highway fatalities to 126 for 1973. the husband Charles Mertain, 35, survived with injuries. Earlier reports noted Dora James, 70, of Belleville Kansas, killed on Interstate 80, and Lisa Schornecker, 15, of Lovington, injured in Lakewood car crash. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court will replace court stenographers with television cameramen to record depositions via videotape starting this week.
