Inquest Finds Johnson Died By Train At Court House
The coroner held an inquest into John Johnson’s death at the courthouse. After two hours the jury concluded he was killed by a train and exonerated the railroad company. Testimony included three railroad men who said the bell rang and twice as many witnesses who heard no bell or whistle.

Born Burlington Vermont January 9 1851 he moved to Greeley in 1876 and held roles as city clerk and water works superintendent.
