Windsor Woman Dies By Own Action At Home
Mildred Ruth Bittaker 40 wife of Charles P. Bittaker assistant master mechanic at Windsor sugar factory died by her own action in the basement of 712 Main Street Windsor about 10 am Tuesday. She had long illness and had recently returned from a sanitarium. Sheriff and coroner investigated. She previously attempted suicide by hanging January 6. Her body was found after water was run in the bathtub and she tied a neck cord to a basement pattern. Survived by widower, her mother Nettia Williams and two brothers in Garden City. Only child died in infancy. The body was discovered by Mrs. Fred Mitchell. Charles Len Bittaker, insurance manager, is in serious condition after surgery for a ruptured stomach ulcer at Greeley hospital. Fort Lupton man Ren Knoll fined $60 and costs for drunken driving. Marvin A. Witcher of Greeley fined $5 and costs for week Jews driving and driving without an operator's license.
