Who Wouldn't Be Crazy Junior Class Play Shines

The Little Theater hosted Col era High School’s junior class play Who Wouldn't Be Crazy a lighthearted comedy by Katharine Savanaugh. Wayne Powers led as Jack Spendy Marshall with Margaret Colvin as Lola Meredith delivering lively performances and the cast including Glenn Norris Ruth Binnswoll and Adeline Libernan. Directed by Opal Adams with support from J S Doubenmier and others, the show delivered laughs and a smooth run, ending with a surprising finale.

Firemen Stop Blaze With No Damage on Board Fence

Firemen on a brief run to 622 Eighth Street at 8 40 p.m. Saturday extinguished a blaze caused by hot ashes piled against a board fence. No damage was reported. Separate note states United States support for rubber from northern Sumatra rose 60 percent in 1929 over 1928.

Cast included Rufinus Valeria Laveda Wickstrom Garth Cornelia and others with Myrtle Finn stepping in as Roma senator at the last moment. Mary Eileen Price accompanied on violin as Egaria sang. The remainder of the project featured steering games.

Central P T A Plans Final Meeting Monday

Central P T A will hold its last regular meeting of the school year Monday April 7 at 7 30 in the auditorium. Business includes election of officers for next year and an association banquet on May 5 at the First Methodist church basement. Washington April Senator Robinson Indiana Republican and members lobby group announced plans to call Josephus Daniels former secretary of the navy to appear before the committee to discuss an editorial condemning DNC Chairman Raskob over support for the prohibition amendment. The editorial, read by Senator Rolson before the committee, suggested Raskob’s influence harmed the Democratic Party and future outlook. Raskob testified he had not seen the editorial.

Sheepherder Found Slain With Pistol By His Side

Kemmerer Wyoming April. A sheepherder employed for Cévey and Blaney was found dead in bed Friday night with a pistol wound to the back of the head. Authorities cite possible foul play though a coroner's inquest is planned. No powder burn. bullet entered the back and exited at the forehead. Only known relative, a sister in North Dakota, notified.

Examiner Opposes New North Penn Railroad Route

An examiner from the Interstate Commerce Commission recommended rejecting the New York Pittsburgh and Chicago railroad project. Milliken School Hosts Wednesday Student Program
