Colorado voters approve bond issues and referenda

Statewide voting showed affirmative results with major bond approvals in Colorado Springs and Denver area. Voters backed a $2.0 million urban renewal project, a $15 million Memorial Hospital expansion, a $25 million sewer bond district funding six years of upgrades, and Grand Junction’s $600,000 for a $1 million multipurpose center. City council winners included re-elected Tarry Ochs and Luis Cortez in Colorado Springs, and Fort Collins officials elected Nancy Gray Peggy Reeves Chuck Boling William Lopez.

Evans Post Office announces clerk and carrier vacancy exams

Evans Post Office announces an examination to establish a list of eligible candidates for clerk and carrier vacancies. Mrs. Helen L Roberts, the postmaster, says applications are being accepted with a closing date of April 12. Forms and details are available at the Evans Post Office. A note ends with a world wide fact that fresh water use averages 500 tons per person per year.
