Britain's foreign secretary declared Italy would face a finding of treaty violation if its moves in Albania continued. Reports of 20,000 Italian troops massing at Bari and Brindisi prompted concern over a potential Italian protectorate as Allied diplomacy and Italian plans to secure Albania's oil and resources unfolded.
Governor Carr weighs using about $200,000 monthly from income tax revenue to test a new diversion statute with warrants to support relief payments. Other CSC E faculty members and UNC and NEA participants will attend as about 250 school executives and teachers from Colorado and Wyoming join discussions on The Newer Education An Attempt at Graduation.

Chester A. Cas, 21, of Milliken, was arrested by the sheriff and handed to Larimer County for possible burglary of a doll and a gun from a cabinet to the Listes Park district. Defense lawyers stated the man claimed the charge stemmed from a wage dispute with his employer, after which he was discharged and told to leave with his belongings. A complaint was filed, alleging he stole items, though the full story remains debated as sources reference a biblical text.
Gunnison resident B. L. Dutcher, a young attorney active in Republican circles, was nominated by Governor Ralph L. Carr for a seat on the board of trustees of the Colorado State College of Education at Gunnison. Two youths, Byron Lowell 18 and Claude Hurley 20, awaiting parole after serving time, faced reformatory terms for a Wichita drug store burglary.
Three persons were injured shortly before midnight when a car driven by Guy Benson of Greeley was overturned on highway 34 north of Evans near Roberta garage. Kenneth Shirley 13 Ta Salle, Donald Elis 20 LaSalle, and Frank Wilson 22 Greeley sustained injuries. Benson and the southbound truck driver Verle Monk of Denver were also involved. The car dumped into a pile of debris, and all three injured were taken to Greeley hospital. Courtesy patrol investigated the accident and issued no ticket.
