Mail carriers did not run Monday due to the New Year holiday observed Sunday.
Ray Hamblin came back to his home in St Joseph Missouri on Tuesday of last week after a few days visit with his parents Mr and Mrs A A Hamblin.
C G Jones and wife visited Des Moines Monday. Claude Campbell saw Otis Irwin in Clarinda last week. Epworth League hosted a church basement party for students home for vacation with games and refreshments. Mrs John Garrett of Hartford Michigan plans to return Friday with her mother Eva Carpenter and brother Don Carpenter to spend the rest of winter there.
Dr. Gasgon examined eyes, fitted glasses, and removed tonsils and adenoids for patients. Mr Roy Hanna and his family, Mrs M E Dunlavy, and Mr and Mrs E F Wagner of Sterling Colorado visited Bedford last week along with relatives and old friends. They also called at the D Cattell home in Clarinda.
