County Salvage Campaign Starts Across Four Areas
The county salvage drive launches this month to gather sort and sell waste material from farms to meet government needs. Four area directors will lead township teams with meetings set for next Monday night at the Gravity town hall. Marion Wilson leads Nodaway Holt and Washington townships with a list of assistants named for each area and district workers to be notified and present.

Grandmother Camelia Nelson Dies at 94 in Gravity Iowa
Mrs Camella Jane Nelson died August 14 1912 at home in Gravity Illinois after 94 years and 3 months of life. Born May 14 1848 in Monroe county Indiana she lived in Terre Haute and Illinois before moving to Gravity. Survived by daughter in law nieces and many friends she was a devoted member of the Disciples of Christ and Gravity EO S Chapter. Her faith and humor guided a life of service and annual birthday dinners.
