State Board Pardons Chronopolous and Byrne to Life
Helena September 23 The state board of pardons today commuted the death sentences of Theodore Chronopolous and Byrne for the murder of Sylvester Prenatt in Butte to life imprisonment The governor and attorney general presented the recommendation and the board confirmed it with a note that life means life The men were convicted December 9 1919 with August 26 set for execution and respite granted to September 24 Dr Knight will visit town Saturday and Sunday for dental work.
