Voters will decide on 11 measures on November 2 including a new primary law athletic regulations boxing bonds and several constitutional amendments. Secretary of State has sent copies to county clerks for distribution to electors.
Glacier Park Montana Sept 9 Unanimous condemnation by the State Association of County Officers urges Montanans to reject three proposed bond issues totaling 40 million dollars for irrigation highways and education. Tax impact cited as 5.5 million dollars for interest alone raising state taxes by about 25 percent.
The Grass Range Woman's Club met Tuesday September 7 at Mrs J H Charters home. President Mrs Gillespie led roll call and routine business. The Program Committee reported a thorough study plan for the year and the year book work progresses toward delivery. Members subscribed to Woman Citizen to support club tasks. The afternoon featured reports from M W C and a piano solo by Mrs A Steeringly.
Oil men report Walkers No. 2 well on the Mosby field west dome now yields about 50 barrels per day. Located roughly three miles west of the Front Mid Northern and 56 Petroleum producers, the well shows rapid production with possible sand seepage or a faulted structure. Geologist Fowler has been dispatched to study the field conditions.
