Montacal Oil Company, formed by California and Montana businessmen led by Wyman Ellis, reports drilling a six-well field in section 13-15-29. The new well near Mid-Northern shows high quality oil, with output claims of 12,000 barrels daily from the large 40 acre field.
Fergus county commissioners completed the official count showing Stanford leading by 29 votes after Fergus precincts. Cascade county results increased Stanford's lead by 10, while a Hobson result of 34 votes was discarded when no certificate was filed. Hobson remained represented by Ed Hall.
