General Pershing issued a statement on the third anniversary of the armistice praising the unknown heroes and urging ongoing efforts for peace. He stressed a duty for all citizens to continue the battle for prosperity and happiness, acknowledging imperfect conditions still ahead.
Mrs. Henrietta Winkle mother of Jaspar died last Saturday at 2 45 following a long illness caused by heart leakage. A Oregon native, she had lived six years in this section. Services were held at the Jaspar residence and the body was later taken to Lewistown for burial. She leaves three sons and two daughters. Her strength and kind spirit sustained her through illness, drawing constant care from family and friends.
The Misses Katherine Niles Mabel Clark Dora Niswanger and Messrs Walter Joslin and Vernon Niswanger enjoyed a 6 o clock dinner at Mrs Light's home Tuesday evening. They all report a pleasant evening.
E A Williams and his family are enjoying a stay in Gallatin Valley visiting Mrs Willigmans sister Mrs Oscar Backlunds and plan to be on a trip soon.

Winners included Mrs. Shawhan and A. Charboneau, with booby prizes to Mrs. Wiseman and Mr. Braniff. A luncheon followed and plans were made for Mrs. Washburn to host on December 1 at Johnson’s home.
