Ford Creek Oil Plant Draws Local Visitors
Curious residents from Grass Range Lewis town and nearby farms toured the Dengel ranch drilling site of the Ford Creek Oil Company last Sunday. They witnessed gas venting from a shallow test and heard plans to expand drilling in pursuit of oil, with a large-scale operation under way and a recent purchase of 1970 feet of casing and 500 feet of cable. Mr. Coleman and assistants expressed optimism about finding oil in paying quantities in Eastern Fergus county as the site advances toward greater depths. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dengel provided a dinner for attendees.
