Washington May 22 Representative Charles Caldwell estimated the United States will have between four and five million men under arms by July 1 1919 He said within a year after Americans went to France one million would be on the western front and cited that during the first ten days of May 90 000 troops moved. He quoted a June total of 1 889 894 soldiers and 148 388 officers.
