Slade to Lead Absaroka Oil Venture for NP Lands

George T. Slade, formerly vice president of the Northern Pacific, will be president of the Absaroka Oil Development company formed by NP directors to develop oil lands in Montana. The announcement came from St Paul on March 7.

Button Butte Oil Drilling Seen This Summer

Three chances exist that the Button Butte structure will be drilled this spring or summer. A Helena syndicate controls the acreage with a rig expected on the ground soon. L S Butler reports Button Butte Oil & Gas Co. will lease to Consolidated and be at work south of here within two to three months, after renewing expired leases with cash bonuses.
