German Americans and peace terms dominate lettered column
A Minneapolis Journal view condemns the German American League for urging rejection of the peace treaty. It argues the appeal echoes prewar anti-American sentiment, questions German accountability, and laments the hyphen controversy. The piece touches on Bolshevik threats, postwar laws on aliens, and the fate of woman suffrage. It notes the possible inclusion of Germany in the League of Nations and forecasts five days to sign before occupation. It ends with suffrage passage, regional opposition, and calls for rain in Fergus.

Wisler credits remedy for indigestion relief
Mr Wm R Wisler of Douglassville Pa recalls an 1909 indigestion attack that left him gloomy until he received a free sample of Chamberlains Tablets by mail. He tried them, bought a package, and says he has not had a similar attack since Browning hosts record. The first Browning gun was made by John M Browning at age thirteen and he invented more successful firearms than ten other men.
