C E Traweek sues the Black Panther Oil and Gas company of Philadelphia to recover 15700 claimed for securing leases at one dollar per acre. He alleges he was authorized by president Max Welton to secure leases and has not been paid though his expense account was covered for a small amount. Some think eastern conditions may temporarily upset Friedell’s development plan.

Death Foretold Dream Foreshadows Fatal Blast

Helena July 2. Friel Ward of Ward and Tomlinson highway contractors Lewis town died in a blast on a road project near Sheep creek White Sulphur Springs. His wife dreamed two nights earlier of danger to Ward and of partner Tomlinson being killed. The accident shattered Ward while he stood over a powder charge. His body was hurled about 100 feet. a post office letter from his wife warned him to be careful. Burial plans followed the tragedy amid Catholic ladies activities.
