Nebraska ratifies 18th Amendment ending Prohibition era
The Nebraska legislature last week ratified the 18th amendment, making the United States dry by law and completing the three-fourths requirement. Missouri followed minutes later. Wyoming had already ratified. The amendment becomes effective in January 1920, with enforcement laws to follow.
