The Christmas program by the District School's 6th to 8th grades enchanted with decorated tree and colored bulbs. Each grade performed stunts while Miss Ann Clark impressed as teacher. Santa Claus handed out candy and nuts as pupils and families left happily.
In Cleveland on December 22 a mother lost her infant amid Christmas shoppers at the main post office. A market basket containing the baby was moved under a table and later placed in a mail sack before the child cried out, prompting discovery. The mother refused to reveal her identity.
The Biological Survey fights wolves coyotes lynxes and mountain lions in the west to protect livestock. In one year hunters killed over 50 000 predatory animals. the Custer wolf of Wyoming alone reportedly slaughtered $25 000 worth of cattle in seven years. A $500 bounty remained unused as the beast evaded many hunters.

Reports from Winifred say the Kansas Montana well shows promising progress with oil potential rising as depth increases. Geologist Knapp estimates sand could be reached near 3,265 feet, about 17 feet more drilling, as operations pause for Christmas.
First State Bank of Kolin shuts down its operations and transfers all business to First National Bank of Fergus County. Bert Linn heads the bank, with organizers including L. E. Torinus C. L. The charred bodies of Col. Francis C. Marshall and Lieut. Charles Webber were found about 75 miles west of Tucson near Indian Oasis on the Papalo Indian reservation.
