Lewistown Loses Pioneer Jack Rowley
Jack Rowley, pioneer stockman and longtime Fergus County resident, died suddenly at his Lewistown home Sunday. Born February 18 1858 near Salt Lake City, he led cattle drives from Utah and Oregon and managed the Dovenspeck ranch on Elk Creek before ranching on Yellow Water. He married Josephine Skaggs in 1889 and is survived by widow and three children Lancelot of Grand Rapids Michigan Harvey and Hyacinth of Lewistown.
